The church built into a beachside cave by sailors in the 1700's, after a harrowing storm has a fascinating history and a collection of religious sculptures created by local artists in both the 19th and 20th centuries, then cool down with the a taste of "Tartufo" a famous dessert of Pizzo, complete the day with a unique Wine Tasting experience.
- Group Tour Reggio Calabria and Scilla with Lunch: This is a full-day guided tour that will take you to explore this beautiful region along the “Coast of the Gods” in Southern Italy. Classic Calabrian Cooking Class
Hands-on cooking class for held in the panoramic countryside surrounded by a stunning Mediterranean garden. Discover the secrets of Calabrian Cuisine. You will enjoy a culinary journey through traditional Calabrian recipes with your chef instructor. The Menu is always seasonal and we will prepare together a Classic Calabrian Lunch including a variety of local recipes. We will have a lot of fun preparing the famous fresh, handmade pasta and delicious sauces.
After the cooking class you will enjoy your meal in a relaxing ambient atmosphere accompanied by wine from the family-owned winery.
Gelato - A Day of Sweet Temptations
Tartufo ice cream, Piedigrotta and wine - Pizzo is calling!
In the afternoon we'll go to the beautiful costal town of Pizzo Calabro, famous for the tartufo ice cream.
After discovering all the secrets of the making process, it's time to taste this sweet sinful treat.
Our next stop will be the picturesque small church of Piedigrotta , built directly in the rock on the beach of Pizzo.
From there we'll reach after a 15 minutes drive the winery "Cantine Benvenuto" where we will learn about the cultivation of the Zibibbo grapes and taste the fantastic wines.
